Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. O'Dell later became morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint working in Charleston reporting and anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. Alongside her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of shows that were pre-showarrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
